Over about 20 minutes on the afternoon of June 24, 2026, the National Weather Service in Miami logged hail near the Mall at Wellington Green and two reports of trees down in the Royal Palm Beach area.
Wind and hail affect buildings in different ways, so it helps to look at each separately.

Tree damage reports confirm that trees came down. They don't measure the wind speed at any location, and they don't show that any roof or building was damaged.
Two different ways storms cause damage
Hail damages by impact. It can dent soft metals, crack screens and older plastics, chip paint and stucco, and bruise or crack roof coverings. Effects depend on size, wind-driven angle and the material.
Wind damages by force and by what it carries. Gusts can lift shingle edges or tiles, loosen flashing and soffits, and bend screen enclosures and fences. Falling limbs and flying debris can strike roofs, windows, vehicles and pool cages.
Because the causes differ, so does the evidence. A whole-property inspection looks for both, and also checks whether anything we find is older wear.
What to document
- Fences, screen enclosures, pool cages and outdoor equipment, photographed from several angles.
- Fallen limbs or debris before cleanup, with something for scale and the date.
- Windows, doors, garage doors and exterior walls on all sides of the building.
- Ceilings and walls inside, if you've noticed new stains or drips since the storm.
- Any tree service, repair or cleanup invoices.
- Vehicles or outdoor furniture with fresh dents, which can show where hail fell on your property.
Setting expectations
No one can promise a roof replacement or a particular result from a storm report. What we offer is a careful inspection, a review of your policy, and an honest explanation of your options.
If your insurer has already inspected, keep a copy of its estimate and photos. Comparing them with an independent inspection can show whether anything was missed, such as interior damage, screen enclosures or fences, and whether the scope matches what is actually there.
Common questions
Do trees down mean winds were a certain speed?
No. These reports confirm trees fell, not how strong the wind was at your address.
Is quarter-size hail big enough to damage a roof?
It can be, depending on the roof's material, age and condition. Only an inspection can show whether it did.
Should I clean up first?
Make the property safe, but photograph debris and damage before clearing it when you can do so safely.
